DIRECTIONS FROM MALAGA AIRPORT

If you are getting a lift or picking up a hire car, follow the exit signs, and as you leave the car parking areas, follow the signs to Malaga, and keep in the right hand lanes.

You will come to a roundabout near a brewery and again keep in the right hand lane following the signs to Algerciras, and you will join a dual carriageway. Again keep right, and after about a mile, there will be right turn off to Algerciras/Cadiz. Take this and you will be on the motorway heading west.

After several miles, the motorway splits,and you want to keep left to take the motorway. The N340 is the coastal road which will get you to Villacana, but it is slower due to the tarffic, and the motorway is easier. The two roads join again after Marbella so don't worry if you end up on the coast road.

Having got on the motorway, stay on it until you see the next sign for the N340, for San Pedro, which will take you off the motorway and through a short tunnel and onto the coast road again, the N340. Keep on this road through San Pedro. Once you are through San Pedro, you wull go under a big white archway, with 'Marbella' on it, in raised lettering. The turn off for Villacana is 5 kilometres from that arch.

After about 4.5 kilometres, look for the huge white letters of VILLACANA on your left, and then the turn of is 500 meters after, on your right. As you turn off, you want to turn immediately left, down a road for a few hundred metres, and at the end turn left under a bridge, and left again, to take you back the way you have come. Follow the road so you are going back by the side of the main coastal road you have come down for a few hundred metres, and you will see a sign post for Hotel Playa del Sol. Turn right there and go down to the end and turn right and you will find the Villacana car park on your left.
